With more than 4000 lakes, water is an incredible wealth for the La Vérendrye wildlife reserve. It includes Grand Lake Victoria and two gigantic reservoirs, Dozois and Cabonga, fed by rivers with names evocative of local cultures: Chochocouane, Capitachouane, des Outaouais, Gens de Terre. A canoe-camper’s and fisherman’s paradise can be found there, straddling the Outaouais and Abitibi-Témiscamingue regions.
